This is page entirely dedicated to learning about networking, cyber-security and information security (InfoSec). This site is for noobies and intermediates that wish to learn alongside others.

Quick disclaimer, I am learning as I go. However, I have been studying for my CCNA cert. I've done a couple of rooms on TryHackMe, some CTFs like PicoCTF and OverTheWire and have been running Debian 11 with the KDE desktop environment for the past couple of months. I'd like to believe I'm not a total noob, but sometimes I feel like it.

I will be going over what I have learned thus far, explaining them as simply as I could, so it would be easier for you to understand and reinforce what I have learned. And that is the purpose of this blog, to simultaneously teach and learn.

I am a Belizean closing in on his thirties. I have always been enthusiastic about technology, but I've had terrible luck with my laptops/ desktops. I remember my dad bringing home our first desktop when I was around 6 or 7.

Ever since, I've gone through plenty of desktops and laptops. Let's just say I didn't take the best care of my laptops.

Last year, 2021, I decided I'd move on to a Linux OS for the speed and the reliability. That's when I got into cyber-security and networking. My goal is to get my CCNA certification then the CompTIA Linux+ certification, and hopefully find a job and gain experience. Once I feel comfortable, I will aim for security geared certifications and move up.

I don't aim to be a "hacker"; I want to defend myself! I want to protect. My end goal is to be a Blue Teamer - an all-around defender.
